It might be historically inaccurate but then what Hollywood film is not? It's an excellent description of the mood in England and at Court in the days leading up to the Invasion of the Spanish Armada. I saw it and I thought it was a great film!

Yeah this is the best trailer of the Golden Age trailers, but I really don't want to see the movie. For historical accuracy, I prefer the Helen Miram HBO version. I could forgive the historical inaccuracies in the first Elizabeth because they did such an amazing job conceptualizing her transformation to the 'virgin Queen.' But I don't think Golden Age has anything that imaginative, and I don't want to be soured to the first one.

Although the movie sets the 16th century Spaniards as evil men, there's no need to insult our English neighbors ;-) Every empire had their "Golden Age"... even the Dutch (and that went at the cost of the spices, resources and slaves of their colonies).

hole mir den film auf DVD, ist bestimmt super!! muss aber sagen, dass ich die stimme im englischen, also cate blanchetts originalstimme, etwas passender zu elizabeth finde (was ich jedenfalls durch den vergleich der beiden trailer gesehen/gehört habe..) ist bestimmt trotzdem genial :) toller soundtrack :)
