I also liked the first one much better too. I thought it had great visuals, set designs and overall story than AVP-R. AVP-R was a dark, murky peice of crap shit. AVP-R made the first AVP look like a sci-fi adventure masterpiece.

first avp movie sucked so hard (due to the lame ass story and bigger-than-life goofs). second avp movie sucked because wolf predator is such a pussy (he cannot hit a goddamn alien in one shot etc) and avpr was a big project for strauss bros. the story in first avp movie is so awful that i believe it was written during bar-b-q party and paul w.s. anderson was fucking drunk.
