Why does everyone say the movie sucked? Like alot of those on other trailers. It seemed x10 better then any present day movies I see. At least most of them.

INCREDIBLE FILM!!! Not only did it succeed in showing the brutality of the war in the pacific, but it also revealed the bravery and the sacrafice of the native navajo. This sacrafice made in the service of a country which had not long before persecuted them. Their strangth and loyalty should inspire us all to be better men.

well, also the russians knew that the japanese were going to surrender. but they were pissed off, about the russo-japanese war, and neglected to pass on the message. also, the us gov't wanted to test the a-bomb, in order to freak out anyone, i.e. russians, who might want to act up after the war was over. but you are right, tojo and the rest of his gang were crazy.
