best film farrell has done to date.. i doubt he ever tops this.. didnt even know he had an uber-irish accent until well after i first saw the movie.. 4 out of 5 stars..

To scottebear: I did basic and AIT(April,1966)at Fort Polk (A most hated Military Post during the VietNam war). Fort Polk was divided into two parts; North Fort and South Fort. Tigerland was located in North Fort. After that hell which was Tigerland,Troops were glad to get to VietNam. Being a veteran of T.L., i can tell you this movie is nowhere similar to the real thing, There were no modern brick barracks at Polk amongst other things . Would like to hear from other vets from this era.
