hi, I am German and very opposed to neonazis and holocaust deniers and all that crap. Anyway, I agree that in many US productions about WW 2, hardly any positive figure is German. In "Saving private Rhyan", the only German soldier who the viewer gets to know, returns again to kill Tom Hanks and thus is shot, quite symbolically. German actor Til Schweiger (I dont like him) refused to play this part for Spielberg.
