I love those layered costume too. They are known as "Hanfu", which is the traditional ethnic costume of the Han Chinese, wore by Han Chinese people. There are many Chinese in China wearing this kind of ethnic costume too. Search for Hanfu in google or bing image if you like to see more of them in modern days... =)

This movie is a classic from 1993! I love the costumes in this one with the layering and draping of sheer fabrics. The film definitely has Buddhist philosophical themes, morality tale about enlightenment. Basically lowly creatures practice the religion for thousands of years for the right to become human which Green and White have been endeavoring at but no matter what the monk thinks they are nothing but evil creatures and walk in sin among men. Or something like that.

Among fans, TS is a catastrophic failure. Mainly due to: *MGS2 moves half-assed thrown into the game without serious thought, which leads to problems, particularly with the A.I. as well as First Person aiming. *Voice acting was panned due to the fact several characters lost their foreign accents, and many famous quotes were edited. *Snake does several superhuman, almost matrix-like moves. Just to name a few. Youtube comments do have character limits after all.
