Mich hat Elisabeths Geschichte mehr interessiert, als das Musical rauskam, das war eine realistischere Geschichte. Teile der Triologie stimmen, aber viele nicht! Ich hab sie auch mal gemalt, das berühmte Gemälte mit den Edelweißsternen im Haar und dem weißen Kleid. Aber schön waren die alten Sachen schon aus der Zeit: Friede, Freude Eierkuchen quasi! Die Degescher hat selber auch mal die Sisi gespielt! Und Magda Schneider war auch immer in der Paraderoller bei Romy als Tante oder Mutter.

Ja das ist der ewige Makel der Filme: Elisabeth wurde vollends verkitscht. Wenn man heute Leute nach Sisi fragt fällt ihnen nur Romy Schneider ein... bist du auch "Experte"?

this film is a specimen of powerful acting by both spacek and wilkinson. i love wilkinson's development of his rationale and thought process throughout the movie and coming to a pivotal point where he feels he must do what he feel is the right thing in his heart. while murder is never acceptable, you really come to appreciate the honesty of human emotion of this movie.
