I wouldn't say "never." Long waits happen in the USA too, especially for transplants. Our healthcare system is by no means infallible. Long wait times stem from care rationing, which stems from a shortage of health care professionals (doctors, nurses, therapists, etc). This is something that can easily be remedied in the USA. It's not about adopting another country's system. Instead, we should take elements from other countries and then improve on them.

hey, it's been a while but I just heard a story today and remembered discussing the health care system on youtube and thought of your comment about Ontario :) A friend of mine had to go to the hospital recently with a piece of metal stuck in his eye. He had to wait 3 hours before getting any attention. Every time I go there I see nurses talking or just not doing shit, with people sitting in the waiting rooms with broken bones or pneumonia or whatnot. The system is sicko in Quebec too man.
