@cclennon The hatred for Quarantine stems from "Hollywood ruins everything!!" bandwagon. Yes, Hollywood churns out some really shitty movies, but Quarantine isn't nearly as bad as most other foreign film remakes. I think Quarantine took REC and added an artistic creepy ambiance while still retaining a sense of a realistic environment. But I agree, that REC had a better, more developed ending and a creepier monster.
