I don't know why people find this plot confusing. It's really very simple. Jake and Terry are old buddies. Terry is a pro football player who gets cut, and Jake hires him to go find his ex, Jessie. Her parents own the team he plays for. Terry finds her in Mexico and they fall in love, fucking over Jake. Jake vows revenge. Turns out, Jake is a bookie who is fronted by the owner of the team, Jessie's Dad. Jake tries to construct a 3-way murder scheme, but is killed by Jessie. Stylish good film!!!
