For all I know his movie was not a flop but made a damn good money when it opened. And of course books are always in a way "better" than the movies based on them as books have more room for everything and thus more depth to everything. But movies and books should not be compered that much and thus the "better" is *so* a matter of an opinion and not an absolute truth.

i liked the movie, but i dont see how aaliyah was the star. yes, she died after it was made, but her role, to me, could've been bigger (she couldve had more parts). and i didn't like how the movie ended. i thought lestat would stay with akasha, but instead, he goes with that chick. im probably just mad that the black chick and the white guy didn't go 2gether in the end. :( but the movie was okay. STUART TOWNSEND WAS SO DAMN HOT in that movie. he oozed sex. *fans self* maaaan.

Lol, this trailer makes the movie adaptation seem SO much more loyal to the book and so much more bombastic than it really is. The voiceover mostly but also the editing. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE this movie tons and tons and thsi trailer is cool too´... the somewhat misleading attitude just sticks out. :D
