i have just finished reading the book for the first time having watched the BBC series and this movie a number of times, i already prefered the series over the movie and now i can see why. the movie is a diluted, washed out nonsence compared to the book, whereas the series sticks to the book beautifully. Obviously the movie had to cram everything in to fit the length of the film but it wasn't just bits missed out, but the oversimplfied language i find annoying.

It's actually really good. ^^ When I was 7 or 8, I had an obbsession with the Lion King. I knew the songs of by heart, I watched it everyday and everything. And then Simba's Pride came out, I was really happy, I watched it, and it was as good as the first one. Then, the third one came out, I was a bit dubious about it all, since I would've prefered it to be a new movie, not just edits to the origional story line. But it is a good movie, they all are. =) Well done Disney: 10/10!

I'm starting to regret getting rid of these, saw the first one at 13 yo-loved it, this sequel is almost as good, admittedly, though I never saw 11/2, I'm a fan of Timon and Pumbah, but telling the story from their perspective sounds cheesey to me
