i had to take a ...
i had to take a double take on that comment and wait until i stopped crying from laughter to type. *wipes eyes and chortles* Spirited Away (written by Hayao Miyazaki) IS a Japanese Animation. It was RE-DUBBED in english by Disney over a year after its japanese release , they had nothing to do with production in any way. they simply bought the distribution rights for america and hired voice actors to re do the audio track in english. nothing more.

Your comment seems a little out of place both with time and context, but nonetheless I still believe that Paprika was mild at best compared to other films that are much more realistic, violent and definitely not 13-year-old material (The Dark Knight, while not anime, is a more recent/notable example). I have discussed this elsewhere, but Paprika was a great case of a not-quite-PG-13, not-quite-R film. Regardless, I still understand why it was given an R; its just hard to agree with with MPAA.
