I agree 100%. This is also my fav of her "talkies." She really was the face, very beautiful!! Her silent pictures are amazing.. Its a shame she didn't continue to make pictures.. it was a really loss

this was, in my mind, garbo's best sound picture, though i like her silent films better than any of her 'talkies'. her face was a perfect match for the silents, as i've always felt that garbo could say more with one expression than anyone (herself included) could with an entire page of dialog.

Ninotchka and Camille are generally considered Garbo's best films, but I have always felt Anna Karenina was also in that list, as was the silent film, Mysterious Lady. She was probably the most beautiful in The Painted Veil.

そうですね。1930年代のハリウッドで映画の基礎ができて、今、日本の映画がこの時代に回帰しているような気がします。 昨年の日本映画で面白かったのは、コメディでした。それも、どこか30年代のハリウッドの匂いが漂っている作品です。

I appreciate the trouble you take to post these rare Garbo clips, but I wish you could employ your logo a little more discreetly. IT'S VERY DISTRACTING and besides that it really interferes with the video images.

Interesting to see ...
Interesting to see a very young Garbo in this extremely rare film. Thankyou for posting it. I believe this was her first American movie and before she became famous.
