To tell you the truth, I prefer the dub for Warriors of the Wind over the original voice work. But I still prefer the original version, because they relly butchered WotW, it's a damn shame. IMO, the best combination for us westerners would have been a dub of the original version with voice crew of WotW.

cinemakid, don't get me wrong I Love seeing the whole movie in the new version. What I don't like about it, is the voices. I think the people who did the original 1984 version were a lot more talented.

That's interesting that you prefer the 1980s English version. Apparently it's widely disliked because it cut more than 30 minutes of the film. Miyazaki himself hates that version because the studio butchered his film.

Also another thing ...
Also another thing thats bothering me, and I know the manga and the film have nothing to do with one another. But whats up with the Corvette being able to hover like a Harrier in the film? When there are two minor plot points in the manga on not being able to land because there isnt enough space? Kurotowa has to land on the acid lake island. And when Kushana wants to land at to Sapata but the Doroks are bombing it. Ether way the books and the film are still the greatest work of art ever :D

Yea, that's really true. I'm french and french trailers really suck! they show all the key-moments into trailers in order to attract the spectators... to going to buy a ticket for a movie ! It's only for the commercial side. But French cinema suck nowadays. Sad, i know.

まあ確かに今だったら違う歌手 ...
まあ確かに今だったら違う歌手なのかな・・。 でも　個人的には、なまじかっこつけた歌手が歌うよりは何倍も良い、というか、好きだと思う。 耳をすませばのカントリーロードしかり、素人っぽい素直な歌の感じが好きな人結構いるのでは。
