Ur right. The hype was not enough to cover its many flaws. Some scenes were extremely moving, but overall, it's disappointing; a convoluted love story, bad direction, an uninteresting villain, a mediocre script. The only reason to watch it is for Aamir Khan and Rahman's music, particularly 'Kaise Mujhe' and 'Guzarish' (the other songs were just fillers). This is NOT a classic... the way Devdas was, and Lagaan and Mother India. 3 out of 10. Just my opinion.

movie sucked... Song was awesome. How can this movie be compared to anything good from Aamir Khan? It was like mixup of a bunch of badly done Hollywood movies. The only thing refreshing was the editing, acting, story was all done pretty much the same way.
