You talk some absolute convict crap! Gallipoli was an allied campaign and mainly British. The British had the toughest objectives, ever heard of the lost battalion? More French fought and died in the Campaign than Australians. And stop with this drinking tea crap, it's outright disrespectful. And don;t start with claiming your lads were under British command because it doesn't have a factual leg to stand on. This Aussie over signifying Gallipoli is small country complex IMO.

Hmmm lets see we invaded and were driven off. No attacking force acheived its first day objectives except for the French diversionary landing. The Ottoman Empire remained intact for the time being and Istanbul/Constantinople wasnt shelled into a ruin. So yes the Ottoman won the Gallipoli Peninsula campaign.

I studied this ...
I studied this campaigne in 06' when I was working towards my degree. From a personal point of view though, this campaigne really cemented Australian and New Zealand idenity from the Empire and quite right too. It is tragic that it had to be in such a bloody, almost pointless situation. It is well known that the ANZACs were among the best soldiers of the war. I really do not like the extreamist Turks among the quotes though, lets face it the turks were far from innocent, wernt you......
