I have the entire trilogy in one set, remastered and subtitled in English. Daimajin was cut for the channel 7 4:30 movie, but it's all here in the uncut boxset. Suprisingly, Daimajin was very violent for a monster flick. The cold, uncaring stare on the statue's face, and the quick way he dispatched justice w\o mercy somehow manages to disturb me to this day. Great attention to historical detail as well, w\regard to the time of feudal Japan and the caste system they embodied.

I'd say that's a fair bet, lol But in a broader sense, seeing that cold, unchanging stare, and the way he moves totally unopposed, and the way he disposes justice no matter who is in his sights, (good or evil) is somewhat disturbing. Great production value too! I guess Daiei raised the capital for these thru their Gammera series and the absolutely fantastic Yokai Monsters series.

Damn straight on THAT one, mate! I have the entire trilogy in a boxset that was released about 6 or 7 years back, and they are fully remastered and subtitled. These movies are somewhat unique in their subject matter. Music by Toho master Akira Ifukube too! Daimajin still scares me to this day, esp. in the first movie......that cold, fixed stare, the way he moves unopposed like some unstoppable force, and the way he kills without mercy.
